When we tasted through samples for our private label Angel's Envy barrel at Hy's Steak House, one stood out immediately. Rich notes of caramelized banana, brown sugar, vanilla, toasted oak, and warm baking spice practically jumped from the glass. The resemblance to Bananas Foster was unmistakable.
Finished in port wine barrels and selected exclusively for Hy's, this single barrel expression captures everything we love about great bourbon: depth, balance, and a sense of place. The port finish adds layers of sweetness and complexity while allowing the bourbon's character to shine through.
The result is a whiskey that feels right at home in our dining room. Whether enjoyed neat after a steak dinner or shared among friends, it's a bottle that tells a story with every pour.
